If I had to compare CU Boulder to anything, I'd compare it to a high school. There are the "cool" kids and the "nerds" and the "in-betweens"; so basically there are cliques. If you feel comfortable making new friends, then CU could be an option, but for the most part if you're close-minded you won't enjoy yourself here. There are a lot of extracurricular activities, which is good. I don't like the class sizes (HUGE) and the quality of the professors(POOR) but who needs to go to class when there are parties seven nights a week. I'm not joking, you could go to the hill on a tuesday night during finals week and find a party. Also, don't come to CU if you're a conservative because Boulder is the most liberal city EVER. All in all, I recommend you visit the school and take a tour; if you can see yourself fitting in here then more power to you, but make your decision CAREFULLY because you don't want to end up at a school you don't like.
