My 2 years at CU have been quite interesting, to say the least…while I knew that CU wasn't exactly an Ivy League school, academics-wise, I was surprised at how little work is really involved…high school seems harder than CU, academically! Generally, in most classes I've taken (a mix of intro and upper level classes), your grade is largely dependant on your test and quiz scores, based on lectures and sometimes readings…generally there is no regular daily homework, and maybe 1 or 2 papers per semester per class at most…I expected a crushing load of work and I was quite surprised at the lack of it…Now, socially, CU is about 65% in-state students, and I will agree with those who say that it is socially reminiscent of high school, with cliques and things like that…however, I also agree that no matter what your interests or social background is, you will be able to find some friends…there's almost 30,000 students here so theres a match for everyone…Overall, I'm very happy with my 2 years here thus far, and plan on staying for the next 2 til I graduate…no regrets whatsoever!
