First off let me just say too Christian? Its a catholic school. it prides itself on that. So you should expect it on campus. IF you want to go to a small school with 6-20 people in your classes, then this school is for you. It does have that "high school" feel to it because they lowered expectations for high schoolers to get in so they can get out of debt. Expect students to go all out in the first year. Yeah they do check bags for alchie but there are ways around it. Become friends with upper classmen, join some type of council, or become friends with the copo. Then you wont have a problem. THe dorms when I was a freshmen were almost new but by the time I was a senior, the newer dorms had become incrusted with beer stains, torn apart by drunk kids, or stunk from the trash bins. DO NOT GET A ROOM NEAR THE TRASH ROOM!! The food is tolorable but not recommended. Trust the cereal and weekends when brunch gives you the opportunity to have eggs/omletes at 2pm. That will save you! I am going to warn you that some of the students are complete idiots who are lazier than a 12 yr old playing WOW. Students do think that HW or tests or quizes are the worst thing that could happen to them. Trust me, there are students who are on campus who take education seriously and arent there to breeze by. I did have a good amount of challenging teachers and those were the ones that I had learned the most from. Although, there are the teachers who get scared of the students and tend to lean towards changing due dates. Its nice at times, esp during midterms, but annoying when you just want to get it over with. One thing I did like about this college is that you could start up a club, with enough interest, and have fun with it. Ex. Italian club, ultimate freesbie. It is a religious school but 90% of my friends/classmates didnt go to church or talk about religion much. You are not forced to go to mass or to be angelic. One HUGE downside is the library. Its old, outdated, and smells like whatever the Den is serving because people do bring in food in the main study area. I hated studying in there because if you wanted quite time you had to be located inthe reference room or in one of the study rooms but those get filled quickly. If you do want to have access to cameras, movies, good laughs please do make friends with Kevin in the lib basement. DONT get the school computer!! Waste of money. They promised the entry class of 05 a new one junior year. It was a verbal saying that was never put on paper BUT everyone remembered them saying it. My school computer died junior year from a bad battery and crappy hard drive. The IT sucks, they dont know alot. I was better off just brining mine to one of my friends who knows about computers. Just get an HP. You dont need the school computer for business school. I didnt have one the last 2 years and I made out fine. Just have the powerpoint, excel, word and you will be fine. Overall, this school is average. The parties are always there, easy to get to, dont have to worry about drunk driving. I really wouldnt recommend having your car on campus unless you really need it. I was lucky to have mine free Junior and senior year. I hear now it is over 100. Vandalism is a major issue because the CoPO (Campus police) are a bunch of idiots. When I mean Idiots, I mean the average IQ has to be lower than 60. Ugh they are just a pain. Jsut be careful crossing the street on campus, they tend to not stop at stop signs and hit you. It has happened more than 3 times.

There are great teachers amoung horrible ones. Just find them and just keep taking classes with them. And do try to take an art type class. They seriously save you from all the stress from your main classes. There realyl isnt anything to do in the town but Boston is a 45 min train ride or 21 drive. Not bad but be prepared to be bored. Overall, Merriamck istn that bad. The administration could use some work but they are working on it. At least they got rid of Gatti.
