I can almost guarantee the comment below this was written by a faculty member. Notice the overly high quality of writing ( which could never come from a SHU student ) and how big of an outlier it is to all of the other comments. I went there last Fall for one semester, and I had never been more miserable. I only went because, as a few comments below suggested, gave me about 12,000\( in scholarship money and let me into the honors program. During registration they "forgot" I was in the honors program so I only had one honors course. As a nursing major, I hear A&P was one of the school's hardest classes, and I received a 100 on the first exam. For no reason should this happen at a college. Luckily I lived in Roncalli, because the other two buildings constantly smelled like urine ( not an exaggeration ) and the elevator was even broken at one time. The food that they feed you at orientation- don't get used to it because you'll never see it again. I lived off of the grill in Roncalli and was miserable every day of my life. The people are primarily Long Islanders and New Yorkers- self absorbed and a bunch of rich guidos. There's hardly any school spirit- even the football players that went undefeated for a while weren't having a good time. If you are a partier there's hardly anything to do unless you want to spend 50\) on a cab ride to New Haven. Their events consist of a baby shower for the Virgin Mary around Christmas time. This place is a joke. About half of my floor transferred by the end of the year, and my 2 closest friends after only one semester. DO NOT GO HERE.
