Best decision I ever made to attend JSU. Coming from Metro Atlanta, most everybody here picks UGA. Ga. Southern, Kennesaw, etc. JSU beats them all hands down. The all-around accountability of students and faculty and the commitment to success, family-like atmosphere, there are tons of reasons why Jacksonville State is turning into a premier university in the southeast.

It?s possible to get in-state tuition, and there are other merit-based scholarships that are hard to beat at other universities. With the HOPE scholarship in danger of elimination in Georgia, it just made sense. This place is home.

Some people say that it is not really rigorous academically- I have to disagree. With faculty who bend over backwards to help you if you just show effort, I think that it just feels less challenging. But it really is not easy.

The Marching Southerners are incredible, and the football team has gotten pretty darned good, too. All the new construction and capital improvements have helped the overall look of the campus. Come for a private tour with the admissions folks and take the time you don?t really get on a preview day. I guarantee if you come here, you will not be disappointed. Great education and value, and not a better group of students, faculty and staff on the Planet.
