I have spent almost 2 semesters here at UCONN, and it has been the worst experience of my entire life. I would rather sacrifice education quality to go to a local community college than to come to this hell hole for another semester.

1. The people are the worst, most arrogant, disgusting individuals i have ever come across. Everyone is the same, and the people who are new and different try very hard to be the same as everyone else. They all share this sort of arrogant attitude that is very indescribable, and it just makes me sick. You go to class and you are surrounded by a mass of people with bad breath, poor hygiene, and just complete stupidity. Their idea of a life is to get drunk, sleep around, be as lazy as possible, wear sweat pants and a disgusting shirt everyday, and talk about how "shitfaced" they got the night before. … And these people are supposed to make up the future of the U.S.

2. There is absolutely NO social life here, other than going to parties and getting drunk like a moron, then sleeping in class the next day, or sleeping the entire afternoon the next day.

Sure there are clubs to join and the normal college activities, but they are filled with dumb anti-social dorks and white-trash pieces of shit. Not to mention the surrounding towns are very dull and boring, so going outside the campus is completely out of the question, unless you want to "party" at some hick's house.

On the plus side, uconn is a very good school academically.

Business dept is great, and it definitely offers a lot of majors with professors with great expertise. The campus is nice in the summer/fall months, but god damn the winters are horrible. The wind is unbearable, and it gets extremely depressing as there is even less to do and one more thing to worry about.

All in all, if you fit into the description of a white, arrogant (semi-racist), party-animal who's idea of a college experience is to get drunk and be lazy for the next 4 years of your life, by all means.. UCONN is the place for you to be.

responseI really agree with you… the partying aspect is a bit of a turn off because the students here don't like doing much else - that's all they talk about during the weekdays and that's all they do during the weekends. And when you're partying just for drinking's sake you KNOW you're in the wrong university.
