GW Is a phenomenal place to be if you fit in with the type of people it attracts. As long as you know what you are getting into and feel like you like what GW is all about then you will absolutely LOVE your 4 years here! The faculty is amazing and I have only had 2 lecture classes, all of my other classes had under 30 students. You get a lot of individual attention from professors if you seek it out and they are almost all very warm and helpful. Internships are abundant and a must if you attend GW. Greek life is fairly important socially and will keep your calendar full!

questionWhat kind of people does GW attract? please be clear. thanks
responseGW is NOT an ideal place if you are really outdoorsy, do not enjoy city life or going out on weekends, or if you are uninterested in politics. Almost everyone has an opinion on politics so if you have no idea who your senator is this would not be a good school.

There is a saying at GW, "when your drunk you talk about politics, when you are blackout you talk about religion." and for the most part it is fairly true. GW is amazing if you like trying new things, exploring a large city, taking advantage of internships, if you are dedicated to something that you love, and if you can generally carry yourself well. No one wears sweats to class and you will most likely be looked at funny if you do. Students take so much pride in GW and everything it has to offer, and most students know within their first semester if GW will be a good fit for them. Everyone should join some sort of club or greek life because the students are close knit but the administration doesnt really care about students as individuals.

Great. Thanks so much. I really appreciate your input. Any opinion on their honors program. Engineering? Employability after graduation.
responseMy little is involved in WLP the Women's Leadership Program, and absolutely loves it, most students dislike living on the vern but the WLP girls say it is worth it because of all the connections and seminars they get to go to . Last week they had an "Ambassadors day" for WLP where they were able to meet 15 ambassadors and ask them about their jobs, career, life, etc.

I don't know anything about the engineering school except that it is small and selective, but there is a close knit community within many of the schools except for columbian college (I think partly because it is such a large and diverse school within the university).
Students that work hard and take advantage of internships leave GW with very impressive resumes. With a new internship each semester or year most GW students have at least 5 or 6 strong references and internships to show for their time in DC in addition to academics. Most seniors have job offers before second semester of their senior year and many students stay in DC or go to New York or Chicago after graduation, and many still live and interact with GW students in those cities. I have not heard of any one having a problem with employability but I think that is due more to the pressure that students have to get internships throughout their time at GW rather than the classroom education itself.

Thank you so much. I really appreciate it. Best of luck to your daughter.
responseJust for clarification, it is my little in greek life! I am still currently a student at GW, but thank you!
Sorry about the misunderstanding. Not familiar with greek life. Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions. Best of luck to you.
responseBy the way, what about dating and relationships? In addition, I am very interested in the possibility of studying transgender or LGBT people. I've always had a passion for trance.
commentMany of my acquaintances have become transgender and it seems to me that this is normal, because everyone is free to choose who he or she is. But there are not many transgender dating sites and that is why I recommend searching here - tg dating sites. There you can easily find reliable sites and you will like them there.
