Major: Business - Management and Administration (This Major's Salary over time)
I went to DCC for four years because I changed my major after having a child. I graduated last May (2010) with a degree in Business Administration. I enjoyed my time at DCC because not only were the teachers friendly but they also genuinely made me feel like a paycheck was not their only reason for being there. I learned alot during my time here and was able to maintain a promotion to a supervisor position and care for my young son. The classes were flexible and my last semester I took both day and night classes and attened both the main and south (Wappingers Falls) campuses. The price was affordable and covered completely by my federal aid (I even got money back). There are many night clubs, bars etc. nearby but you do have to talk to people to find out where if you are not a local, which is hard to do because the highschool cliques transfer right into this college. The school is accredited and recognized by most as "Harvard on the Hudson" for the exceptional education they provide. I am no longer interested in working in the Business field (switched to medical) but it is a good degree to have to fall back on. Overall Dutchess is a great college for people who have a busy life already but want to get ahead.
