HORRIBLE SCHOOL. EXTREMELY UNORGANIZED. OLD AND DIRTY. Yes, they have been around for long time, and turned out many nurses, but studying and reading and passing the NCLEX is on you as a student, and if you succeed it is because you worked hard - which you have to because they do not teach you at LICH. Most of the professors are no longer working as nurses and do not have upto date knowledge and lack experience. They teach by reading off of a power-point presentation they either got from the textbook or another / previous professor. They read and don't really explain. Than comes along a good professor who plays catch up to make up for the lost times. You are really on your own at this school, they do not provide any support or assistance, and the staff are not helpful in answering your questions. You have to make pointless appointments to see someone, who sends you to someone else, who never addresses your concerns. If something does not go right, "It is your responsibility" my responsibility? to remind them to bill me? or send a schedule? or get the lab equipment ? NO it is the school's / staff reposnsibility and I should not be forced to remind them to do their jobs. If they cant, hire someone else. WASTE OF MONEY! NOT WORTH IT AT ALL! Everything about the school is nasty, receptionist is clueless, financial aid is always behind, always forgetfull and lost. Professors are not fit to be higher level educators. Facility (come see before thinking of applying). It is cold, old, smelly, dirty … and no where to go. 1 class room, no where to go except to the actual hospital (to eat, study, wait for class, or just meet with other students). Also, different professor teach 1 class, and than the exam comes… ??? what the heck is going on here? when did we cover this? MY ADVICE: RESEARCH, COME TO OPEN HOUSE, TALK TO OTHER STUDENTS and LISTEN TO THEM. ( I doubt if you were to stand next to the school and ask a student what they think - that anyone would give you a positive response.)
