Major: Nursing (This Major's Salary over time)
The nursing school is very unorganized. Teachers all seem bipolar- extrememly nice to you one second, very rude the next. Students are extremely cliquey. Many immature students, even the older ones. Many students do not seem to care or want to be here. Complaining constantly. Students half white, half black. Most <25yrs old, but some as old as 55. 98% female. Curriculum very demanding. Less clinical time than with the AA program at other schools. Community work included in this BSN degree. All class notes must be downloaded weekly, with some assignments posted online…very confusing and time consuming. Prep-tests for the state boards are a part of every single class and must be done on the computer. New HESI prep-test also must be passed as an exit exam your senior year. Some students take the program in Port St. Lucy, but they feel detached from the main campus and group. Those with personal problems have a VERY difficult time. Surprisingly, many nursing students do not really seem to be "caring". Hopefully they will admit a better class of students who really want to be here, and who deserve to be in a nursing program.
