I go to FSU and I find it's a lot more diverse. Going to a school with a bunch of people from the same area doesn't make a school diverse. FIU is VERY homogenous. I went to FIU one semester, and after I saw what it was all about, I left, because I knew I could do better, and I did. I don't regret my decision. |
Major: Accounting (This Major's Salary over time)
I just started in FIU and so far i really like it. I am from Miami which is definitely a perk. Most of the student here are from around here but at the same time there is a great percentage that are international. I realy like the diversity and the friendliness of the people. I have met a good amount of new people and it is pretty easy to keep on running into e/o. The school has a good size, not too big not too small. If you are looking to be really involved though you might want to find out head of time more about what there is to do here. Since I am from Miami I know my way around, i live at home, and therefore i have things to do almost everyday. For an out of state student i would definitely recommend visiting the school before.Everyone here is motivated to move forward and eventhough most people think of it as a safety school once you start taking your classes you will realize it is not. Hopefully the sports teams will get their acts together so it'll be more enjoyable to attend their games.
