I spent most of my four years facing my computer screen and trying to come up with A+ papers (still working on that one), so I missed out on most of the rules issues that people mention when they talk about PCC. I struggled more with things like being herded into church. With having friends and faculty drop out of sight, and no word about why or where they went. With the almost unhealthy competition with other Christian universities (why can't we all just get along?). With calling a multi-million-dollar business (A Beka book) a ministry even though the pricetag was much higher than many middle-class families could afford.

But I appreciated many things about my experience, too. I made some great friends (I know, everyone says that.) I came to love my teachers as they came to (I hope) love me. I heard some incredible chapel messages that really challenged me spiritually.

If you're looking for a place to grow spiritually, and you're willing to stand up by yourself sometimes (not be a cookie-cutter Christian), then consider PCC. If rules bother you, if you want to party through your college years, if you're not interested in hearing about the KJV Bible every year of your college career, don't go to PCC. That'll be one less bitter student.
