The juvenile way students are treated at the college does not in any way prepare them to act like adults once they get out in the "real" world. Every aspect of student life is micro-managed- from when you get up in the morning, to what type of clothes you have to wear, to separate stairwells and sidewalks for boys and girls because they cannot be trusted not to touch each other. Students are encouraged to tell on each other if they find out someone has broken a rule (even if it is something like listening to an "unapproved song"); not telling on someone who has broken a rule puts you at risk of discipline if it is found out that you knew and did not tell. The environment creates little robots, intent on telling on each other, with no tolerance for people who are different than them. It does not develop an individual sense of responsibility. Everything is approached from a "fear" aspect. You must comply - or else. I did not enjoy learning or trying to conform to rules with that fear constantly being held over me. (I have no problem following rules; but panicking for example because I have to go to discipline committee - and finding out it was because I had a run in my nylons - was ridiculous. Constantly wondering what minor infraction was going to land me in hot water was stressful and took away my attention from being able to learn.) From an academic standpoint, the education was okay, but the lack of acreditation is a serious hinderance to anyone looking to further their education. You will have to jump through hoops to try to get your graduate school to accept your degree. It can, and has, been done - but why put yourself through that kind of hassle. For these reasons, I would not recommend this college to anyone. There are other (conservative Christian) colleges that will treat you like an adult, allow you to get a quality education and help prepare you for life after college.
