Emory cares deeply about its students, individually and collectively. They go out of their way to make sure every student is accomodated and happy with their campus, classes, and life in general. The student body is quite intelligent, full of achievers, and slightly self-segregated, but I guess that goes with being as diverse as Emory is. The social life is good…it revolves more around the city of ATL than on campus (as far as parties), but the sophistication you feel in bars and clubs meeting celebrities week after week makes it worth driving 10 minutes to Buckhead in a crowded cab. Many of the professors wrote the book, literally, on their subject, and go out of their way to help students who need them. Many prefer meeting with students themselves rather than using TA's. The campus is beyond beautiful, the buildings are all modern and comfortable, and residence life is good. Some of the dorms are a little small, but its college not the Four Seasons. Emory is the best thing I've ever done with my life…the people here are absolutely incredible, the faculty are impressive and brilliant, and the city of ATL provides a unique backdrop to the college experience that no other city (maybe NY or LA…maybe) can provide.
