Date: Feb 05 2006 Major: Biology (This Major's Salary over time) Overall, Emory delivered academic excellence. That said, the focus of the education seems to be more at providing a rigorous liberal arts/science education rather than explicitly preparing students for the work world, unless you happen to be in the business or nursing schools. Socially, Emory has a broad range of ethnic diversity, yet little cultural diversity. Regardless of your background, the culture of the US Northeast reigns supreme. There is a counterculture at Emory that provides an alternative to the Long Island/Westchester scene. It is a small one, but it is certainly there. Emory alums do go on to an astonishing array of things once they graduate, ranging from attending top graduate programs to investment banking to living off the land in Alaska. I suppose that says a lot.
