GOOD:
I feel as though the professors make
Valley Forge Christian College a quality school. They make
themselves available to the students not only in class, but
also outside of class. They are not only extremely
knowledgable in their areas of study, but also very personable.
It is clear that they are there to serve
the student body in any way possible.
I would recommend
Valley Forge Christian College to those interested in Theological Studies,
in Biblical Studies, in any kind of Pastoral Ministries (Counseling,
Youth, Adult, etc.), in Elementary Education (Public or Private), in
Music (Church Music, Music Performance, etc), in preparation for Missions
work, or for those who are simply interested in learning
more about their Christian faith (there are more majors—but I
personally feel the school is strongest in the above).
BAD:
If you cannot handle authority and
being a flexible individual (i.e. understanding others) I do not
suggest attending VFCC. The campus of VFCC is located
on old Army Hospital grounds and many of the buildings
are older. The administration is, however, building new
buildings and working on improving campus aesthetics. In other
words—be able to allow for growth.
Also, Phoenixville does not
have much of a night life. It is a
quaint, old steel town. However, Philadelphia is only 20-30
minutes away, and it offers much in the way of
high-quality Arts, resturants, shopping districts, and various attractions.
Sports/Extracurricular:
Some and growing rapidly.
