I had been to this website before coming here.  I was sure that none of this stuff could have happened to me.  However, I was wrong!  All of the negative comments are true.

Somebody who is on the outside may view GT as the following: Tech looks fun; it appears to have great football, a well maintained campus, and plenty of intramurals.  Best of all, it is recognized for its academics!

Yes, these things are true.  However, behind the scenes, this place is awful.  You will receive little/poor instruction, with difficult, comprehensive tests.  There are no class discussions, huge lecture halls with a really impersonal feeling, and tons of homework to keep you busy.  The ratio is about 3:1 or 2:1, guys to girls.  Don't worry about the ratio, though, because after your first semester you will just worry about passing your classes.  The only reason the academics here are ranked so highly, is that the tests are meant to fail you (no, really, the class averages are regularly 50-60%); therefore, you get scared and study your ass off to pass.  And if you aren't the school's bitch, you will drop out.  If you want further proof, just Google “course critique”, and look up some intro level classes.

My experience with tech:

In high school, I played sports year round.  I was in peak physical condition and in good spirits when I got here.  However, I soon realized how difficult it is to find an attractive girlfriend, so I remain single.  I have never experienced depression for any period of time before college.  But, after a long break, I find myself severely depressed before returning to campus.

If you still want to come here after reading my post, then I would suggest that you read all of the previous posts, because maybe those will knock some sense into you.  Please, remember NOT TO COME HERE!!!!!
