have had a great experience at SCAD-Savannah. I have had
tons of great teachers as well as amazing facilities to
work in. True any university is not going to be
perfect and not every university is for everyone, but for
me SCAD was what I wanted and needed. If you
need a lot of “hand holding” then this is not
the place for you, you are expected to work hard
and be willing to take care of yourself. As far
as safety goes I have been living in Savannah (downtown,
very close to a lot of school buildings) for awhile
and have never seen a gun or had my apartment
broken into. I think that like any city you have
to be smart and know the places that you should
and should not be at night. The school offers a
transport for any student from any SCAD building to any
other SCAD building at anytime day or night, it has
been my experience that most students just do not want
to take the time to wait 10-15 min for the
transport to arrive. That is not SCAD's fault.
