I must add my own two cents in this mirage of SCAD bashing. I have been a student of the college for the past three years and I love it. I have heard many of the rumors and myths, but in actuality I haven’t had any problem with the administration at all. What I love about SCAD is that it always changes. Every year there are new buildings, well…old warehouses and schools that were renovated; new state-of-the-art studios, and everything. The dorm situation does piss me off quite a bit though, with over 7,000, the school is running out of beds to put us in, but they are building new dorms. SCAD is practically a “new” school and has not been around for centuries like RISD and Parsons and therefore still needs to polish her image and get all of her administrative stuff in order. The city of Savannah had a reputation as a "pretty woman with a dirty face" well SCAD now has a reputation as a "pretty woman with a dirty soul."
