| SCAD
isn't a walk in the park, but if you are
passionate about what you do you will succeed. They tend
to have a reputation for being a more career driven
school, which is true. If you want a design job,
though, SCAD will give you the means. They do a
really good job of preparing you for the real world
and teaching you how to network successfully. The food
is not that great, but if you buy snacks and
maybe a rice cooker while on the block meal plan,
you'll be fine. Housing is pretty nice, considering even the
less desirable ones have a private bathroom. Residence Life and
Housing also tries to help with any roommate issues and
offers programs; not crazy parties or anything, but movies and
game nights can be fun. If you are undecided about
your major or career choice, SCAD will be difficult
until you figure it out. Many of my friends dropped
out Freshman year because they couldn't handle it. If you
have a good work ethic and are not going to
just party, you will get a great education.
