Major: Biology (This Major's Salary over time)
The city of Fayette is extremely small. In the summer there is hardly anyone there. There really isn't any night life or things to do outside of outdoor recreation (fishing, hiking, etc.) I was a non-traditional student, a single mom, so this didn't matter to me because I couldn't be out running around anyway. The students, staff and faculty were amazing. The course work for the upper level science classes is extremely challenging, depending on the professor. It was much harder than the community college I transferred from.I happened to pick a major with little job opportunities for someone who can't just pick up and move or work seasonal jobs for years. I wish I knew then what I know now. I would have gone to a different University with a different major. This has nothing to do with UIU.
