Major: Political Science (This Major's Salary over time)
As an active duty Marine, AMU has given me the chance to finish my degree. The quality of the education is quite amazing, the same if not better than "residential universities" because these courses make you think critically. Taking courses through AMU not only gives you a higher education but helps with the discipline of time management. Being active duty and finishing a degree will look great on a resume. Yes there is some fuss concerning AMU accreditation, but they are in the final stages of regional accreditation. AMU is nationally accredited, and this means you can use your degree to do really anything that is not science related (since there is no lab, you won't get into med school). A person can go commissioned in the armed forces now since the Defense Department has recognized a degree obtained from national schools. Also many grad schools except these degrees. I have asked 10 law schools concerning the accreditation and every one replied they had no problem with it. With the BA degree from AMU, I have been accepted into various law schools. So as you can see, degrees from AMU are great!
