Major: Psychology (This Major's Salary over time)
I am a senior who will be graduating in a few months. Overall, I would recommend Knox College to anyone who is interested in getting a good education and making close friends. I would not recommend it to someone who is interested in partying often or having a booming social life (not that this can't be done, it's just harder at a small, academically focused school).Things I love about Knox:The professors. Classes are small, and most professors are excited to talk with students. All the professors in my major know my name and are familiar with me, my interests, and accomplishments. There is even one professor I would call a close friend, and I often am invited to her house for dinner, lunch, etc.The academically challenging courses. I hated the busywork of high school, and you definitely won't get that here. Instead, there are lots and lots of papers… sometimes, the course load can get a bit too much. I have heard many say that graduate school is actually easier. But as a result, after Knox you are VERY well prepared for graduate school. I recently applied and got in to my top two schools as a result of Knox's excellent education. The close relationships you form. I have made best friends for life here, and am currently engaged to another student.Of course, the downside of close relationships is that people can be clickish. Most people have a close group of friends, clubs are often dominated by clicks, and there aren't many parties (besides frat), making it difficult to make new friends.Overall, I love Knox and if I had to start my life over, would choose it again.
