What
makes it good? Well, for people who like a
small isolated campus, this is the place for you!
If you are Dutch and Christian Reformed, you will fit
in perfectly. What makes this place bad?
Ok, embrace yourself. Diversity? Don't believe the
ads this school places about diversity. I am probably
the face of diversity at this school. They also
claim to be interdenominational. They are mostly closeminded CRC
people and this school seems to alienate people who aren't.
They shove Reformed theology down your throat and worship
John Calvin. Theology is good. I agree with
it. But just count the many “reformed” words in
all the readings. All we read is literature written
by Christian Reformed people that are Dutch. I think
this is a pretty sorry school if they make most
of their minority students get bitter against it. Student
Association is a joke. And campus involvement like committees,
never stay together or do anything for that matter.
One good program here is PACE. It's a tutoring
ministry to prisoners in Cook county Jail. But please,
prayer warriors, apply to this school! We really need
reform here at this reformed college. I'm sure God
is going to change this place and break revival. But,
honestly, if your not strong I mean very strong in
your faith and convictions, this is not the place for
you. This isn't the school to go to for
a challenge or the best education. Most of the
classes here are a joke, unless you are in the
nursing program.
