Major: Chemical Engineering (This Major's Salary over time)
People are competitive but there just as many willing to help. I think I am at one of the best programs in the country and know I will be success if I make it. It is hard but I am not going to change. I consider myself only bright compared with my colleagues but I know compared with the rest of LAS (Chem E is easily the hardest major in LAS) I am very bright. I sometimes feel like a number but the university considering how big it is they do a good job of trying to make individuals out of numbers. The city is nothing to scream over it is a collegetown and there is pretty much not much off-campus. Some of my profs have been very friendly and approachable and others have literally said "don't come to me my research comes first." Also I have lucked out with my profs and TA speaking very good English here but I have heard some horror stories. The students are nice but since there is a big religious population their are a few closeminded people here but nothing overwhelming.
