My only regret is that I was a rather shy college undergrad that did not go out as much as I would have liked. That being said, U of I was a great first real-world, on-my-own type experience. It is the college of opportunity for people of all walks of life to get involved- at your discretion. If you want to make new friends, go to fun parties, get a great education, talk to a friendly teacher, it is all offered here. The school is reputable, the alumni association network is extensive, helpful and top-notch and the pride on campus is amazing. Urbana-Champaign as a city has really blossomed, the campus is huge and offers much, sports are amazing and academics is well respected. What more can you ask for? The only problem is as the school as gained in reputation and prominence, it is now extremely competitive to get in so if you're a loser, don't bother. Go to SIU instead.
