Major: Computer Science (This Major's Salary over time)
UIUC prepared me well for my engineering career and the UIUC degree commands a lot of respect nationally, even outside of Illinois.My main educational regret is lack of international training. I work with many Chinese vendors and customers, and have made several trips to China. It appears to be the next world economic powerhouse! It would be very helpful to be able to communicate in their native tongue! So my advice to students for the future is "learn Chinese."
