While I do very much enjoy a lot of the people at this University, a good majority of them are close-minded Jesus lovers who are so blind to the real world and anything outside of the bible. I am not religious, and while the school says they are very open minded, they constantly push the religious aspect on you. Most people are pretty open minded, but also pretty judgemental. There are tons of rules that make you feel as if you're at bible camp rather than college. You HAVE to live in the dorms your first two years. Your junior year you have the option of living in on campus apartments (providing there are enough, otherwise you have to live in the dorms again) and finally senior year you're allowed a house. You're required to go to chapel a number of times a semester, you have to take 2 bible courses in your time here, and you have to deal with open house hours. The opposite sex is only allowed in your dorms 5 days a week (Tues, Thurs, Fri, Sat and Sun) but only from 5-10 on Tuesday and Thursdays, 5-12 on Friday, 1-12 on Saturday and 1-9 on Sundays. When they are in your room, you may not shut the door and they CAN'T spend the night even if they are family. That's not to say this rule isn't broken, but its still there. Parking is good for the most part. Food is pretty unhealthy and the options are SUPER limited. You are also under contract saying you won't have sex, do drugs, or drink during you entire enrollment at the University. So if you're caught drinking even if you're 21, you can get in huge trouble. Again, that's not to say it doesn't happen, but its still something you have to worry about. Overall, the people (that aren't fake) are genuine people that are a lot of fun and great friends, but the university makes you feel like you're far from an adult. Academics are pretty good and the profs are super friendly and willing to work with you and help you. Its a good school for academics, but the living portion of the experience is horrible.
