Major: Biology (This Major's Salary over time)
The Biology department is very well respected, and (basically) all of the professors are approachable and willing to work with students to their greatest advantage. There are professors who have done post-doc's at prestigious institutions but choose Ball State because it's more student focused, not publish or perish. You will get a few people who bitch and moan about course work, and those will probably be pre- professional people and some nursing majors, or people who generally do poorly in classes. If you're a bright student, you'll pretty quickly notice who isn't. Overall, I would say the experience is really what you make of it. If you don't ask questions, don't go to office hours, don't do anything to make yourself stand out, then probably you won't be noticed. But if you take an active interest, doing undergraduate research is very likely and is a big predictor of future job offers and success.
