I am an out-of-state student, who actually finally had the balls to transfer out of IUB. This institute plain sucks! The locals here, "hoosiers", tend to be close-minded and racist towards non-residents. It's not even a diverse school. Full of redneck white trash from the hick areas of Indiana. In addition, if you're a non-resident of this filthy state, then you're expected to pay non-resident tuition for all five years of your education here. Yup, you heard me right, FIVE years of undergraduate because it's so freaking hard to register for classes here. A lot of the core requirement (money-making classes for IUB!) classes fill up quickly. So students tend to graduate in five years. I also find hoosiers in general to be pricks and complete jerks. They have their own social cliques, talk loud in ear-shot range to rub things into your face, and treat you like garbage if you're not a hoosier. Thank God I got the hell out of here.

commentMr. Ed Major,
I am an out-of-state student who will be graduating this spring in JUST 4 years, with a certificate & minor to accompany my major no less! I have never had a problem signing up for classes, NEVER.

Yes, tuition is high for us non-residents, but it is on par with other Big Ten schools AND Top 25 education schools.
