Major: Electrical Engineering (This Major's Salary over time)
I really adored my four years at Olin, and I would absolutely do it all again. Now that I'm in the "real world", I can see how it helped me out… I'm a different kind of engineer than the folks I work with from other schools. I'm not better, I'm not worse, I'm just different. Because of my background I've been given a lot of leadership, R&D, networking, and entrepreneurial opportunities, even this early in my career. I think many Olin students are experiencing similar things. I'm really happy with the way things have turned out—my career goal is along the CTO path, so this is good. However, if I had wanted to be a really expert senior-level engineer, I would have preferred a different kind of experience. (That may be more possible now at Olin given the curriculum changes, but as a member of the first class, I don't think it was as easy to get)
