The school was very challenging academically, and I struggled due to the fact that my high school was too easy. I should have waited until graduate school to attend Notre Dame. In addition, the school had a problem with racial tension when I was a student in the 1990s. But that appears to have been reduced significantly since I visited the campus on April 29, 2007 to watch the campus basketball intramural championships. The atmosphere has changed, and racial tension does not seem as strong as it used to be years ago.
