Major: Art & Design Department (This Major's Salary over time)
To me, the professors and a few specific departments, such as the Computer Maintenance and distribution center (IS&S) here and there are holding up the rest of this school. Campus policies are excessively strict, ie. $75 fines for propping doors open and social probation for just 2 drinking offenses (possessing alcohol or being intoxicated on campus even if over 21.)There is NOTHING (no exaggeration) to do in the town, but you will not be permitted to have a car unless you live at least 8 hours away, and even then its difficult. If you are not Christian, i highly recommend that you look elsewhere. The institution itself is pretty open minded about such things, the student body is not. Also, if you accept and understand evolution and that kind of thing, class discussions may frustrate you as 90% of your classmates argue
but the bible says…

Housing is mediocre, and so is the food. You're required to have both though, unless you're married or a parent. The most difficult thing is that you're not allowed to work anywhere outside of the college, but the paychecks you receive from your mandatory labor position at the school typically only bring in about $120 to $145 per MONTH.
Bottom line: if you want to go here, there will be NO fun parties, no ridiculous nights of booze fueled fun. If you want fun, freedom, and life experiences in addition to classes, look elsewhere. The most exciting thing to do here is study, and that's about all you'll be able to afford. Chances for better paying jobs etc. are minimal. You'll graduate with almost no debt though!
Oh yeah, and if you're transferring from another school be prepared to become a freshman all over again. Berea is horrible about transfer credits.
