Major: Sociology (This Major's Salary over time)
I attended a small, private high school in a larger city and thought I wanted the change of a big school. Upon arriving at UK, however, I realized that that was a big mistake. As someone who enjoys learning, the campus culture is depressing. Proud ignorance runs rampant and there isn't much to do for those who don't drink a lot. There also aren't a ton of healthy food options, and finding decent things to eat has been stressful. There are also long walks to class and horrible parking. I did join a sorority, but it has not helped me socially in any way. Two of my roommates that I came here with couldn't even handle being here and moved back home after the first semester. I stayed second semester for academic reasons, but I will be transferring next year to a smaller school where studying is more socially acceptable.
