Major: English (This Major's Salary over time)
UofL is the public university for the city of Louisville, therefore it does not compare to more elite, private institutions. But for a public university, it has a number of great aspects. My experience in the English department was mostly positive, challenging, and worthwhile. Students can take easier classes and get through, or take harder classes and get more significance from their college years. I also understand that UofL's medical and business schools are highly respected in the region as well as nationally, and are very challenging and supportive for their students.
