In general, LSU claims that it has great academics, but don't believe it. Most tests are multiple choice even in the 4000-levels, except for English and Foreign Language courses. The best way to pass tests is to learn how to adapt to the teacher rather than the material being taught. I've been called a nerd before while studying in the union and many people tell me I study too much. If you don't care about a rigorous academic load, then this is probably the best place for you. There are lots of social activities, both on campus and off, but those activities can get expensive and are more valued by extroverts than introverts. Football is giantic and many times a hassle, especially if you live on campus. Parking lots get blocked in so you better hope there's no emergency. There are tons of resources, including career counselors, degree counselors, and a library. However, you have to be really aggressive and purposely pursue these resources. They don't fall into your lap.
