Holy Cross is the type of college where students go to get a degree. The student body is so career-motivated they don't pay any attention to actual learning. It is more important here to be "successful" than it is to grow as an individual, mentally, socially, and spiritually. It is difficult to make friends and have an active social life if you don't drink and all other campus activities and clubs are secondary to sports. Students who don't fit the status quo are often secluded and sometimes even targeted (there have been incidents of homophobic and anti-semetic remarks being graffitied on students' doors). The housing office seems to be run by complete idiots and the food is terrible.
