Major: Nursing (This Major's Salary over time)
If I could give a few words of advice for prospective students, I would tell you not even CONSIDER going here. To begin, the NCLEX pass rate in 2013 was 55% which is the 3rd worse in nursing schools in Massachusetts. Community colleges have a MUCH higher pass rates than here. Many of the top nursing professors have left and we are now left with professors who really don't know how to teach or prepare you for the nursing world. With graduation around the corner, I do NOT feel prepared whatsoever for a RN job. I have had bad clinical instructors as well as bad clinical sites. I have not even had a Boston placement. I have had 2 very condescending instructors and a clinical site that only had 2 patients on the floor (to share with a group of 5). I have not had adequate experience in clinical. ADVANCED med surg clinicals are even being placed in NURSING HOMES. Clinicals are also given to us sometimes 2-3 days before they are supposed to start. They frequently add in random lab days with a couple days notice. It is impossible to have a job and attend this school. I highly encourage anyone who is looking here for nursing to attend somewhere else even if it's a community college. This place is not worth your money and they constantly add additional fees.
