Major: Nursing (This Major's Salary over time)
I just graduated from the nursing program and can honestly say it is falling apart. Professors quit each semester and there is a huge disconnect between what they teach you. For the cost of the program, I do not really feel prepared to be a nurse. Be prepared to get your clinical placement 2 days before you are supposed to start. I started two weeks later than everyone else and was required to make up hours. The professors told me they didn't know there was so much paperwork they had to fill out…however, my clinical instructor told me the coordinator did not respond to her emails. Most professors treat you like you are nothing and I do not feel like they really care if we succeed. The tests are nothing like what we were taught in class, resulting in the school having to offer the same class over again this summer because so many people failed. They were allowed to walk at graduation but could not get their diploma. Please listen to me when I say that this program is not worth it. If I could have done college all over, I would have never gone here. It is kind of sad because this was my first choice. The first-year classes aren't bad, but once you enter your actual nursing classes, it is a disaster and completely unorganized. I hope this helps those out there who are trying to choose their school.
