there is NO social life here. NONE. Parties generally consist of a few people [all women] in a huge hall trying valiantly to have a good time. The academics is ok, the professors are great, but the content of the work itself isn't very challenging. The student body is surprisingly homogeneous- there's a certain "type" of person who comes here; that makes for very predicatable unstimulating classroom discussions.on the positive side, you get to take classes at amherst, and there is a very personal feeling to knowing your profs one on one. But ppl do not like to go out, and getting to parties in the 5 colleges isn't easy- its tough to form a social life amongst stragers outside your own school.
