Mount Holyoke College

I would not choose Mount Holyoke again. It is little more than a holding place for spoiled rich kids whose parents don't want them exposed to the real world. If you can pay the full amount of tuition, you will most likely be accepted. The lack of men creates a gap in the education given at Mount Holyoke. It limits the dimension of the classroom discussion, and does nothing to prepare girls to become the women they will need to be to compete in the world with the men they have been secluded from. Some classes are challenging, and some are not. Diversity is a claim the college makes, but in reality it is not very diverse at all. People with disabilities are not welcome as students, or as employees. It is very cliche and snobby. There are a large number of lesbians there, who are catered too. When I was there, a certain group was allowed to scribble lesbian pornography on the sidewalks in the name of free speech. Well hey ladies, I don't care how you do it, but I don't want to see it. It can be very difficult to fit in. If you were not born with a silver spoon in your mouth, you are not used to be coddled, and you are not used to being babied, then don't go to Mount Holyoke, you belong elsewhere. If you want the challenge brought on by having men in your class to compete against, if you feel you can think for yourself and make your own decisions, if you want to experience the real world and not be cloistered in a monastary, then don't go to Mount Holyoke.
