The co-op program is very very good. It gives you a great chance to see what it is you're actually going to get yourself into for the REST OF YOUR LIFE. It is also very good because you get to use some of your classroom learning, and also use your work experience to get ahead in class. All of my advisors are helpful, I feel as though they do care about us. ALOT of people don't like the fact that it is a 5-year university, but let me just say this…most people loved being in college, this gives you the oppurtunity to be in college some more. You also get paid for working and can party at night. You get valuable work experience and a head start when looking for a job. Alot of coop employers consider their coop students for long-term work. My sister was hired at Gillette, my buddy was hired at Nstar. It is much easier to get your name out there while you're still in college, whereas it's harder to get that first job out of college. I love NU (that should tell you something)
