After reading several of these comments about Wheaton, I've realized that it's a common misconception that your college is supposed to do everything for you. You won't have a good social life unless you try, you won't get an internship unless you seek it out, you'll be bored if you don't get involved. I understand, Wheaton is a small school and that's certainly not for everybody. But to say that this college is a terrible place where you have no opportunities, I have to disagree. This school has forced me to work for what I want. No one's going to do it for you in the real world, so they train you to start now. If you don't know what you're doing, there's a wonderful support system on this campus to help you.

I don't have a perfect social life, I don't always know what I'm doing and I'm not always enjoying myself. But that's on me, that's not on Wheaton. College is what you make it and all of these sites create misguided information based on pissed off kids that got a D from a tough professor or maybe they didn't apply themselves in the right way.

Wheaton is not for everybody, but I feel challenged and happy here. If you take the time to figure out what makes you happy, Wheaton can be a great place for you.

And yes, it's expensive. But I got great financial aid, and I know lots of other students that did as well. There's a lot more to know about this school beyond a few rich kids. The rest of us deserve to be recognized. This is a great community that should be shown in it's true colors: as a place that can be the greatest foundation for your future, but it's up to you to create it.
