MICA is an excellent school where you education like so many schools- what you put in is what you get out.

MICAns are some of the most talented and inspired students you will find on any campus once you peer through the veil of the artist stereotypes.  You will be hard pressed to find a better group of classmates.  Even employed in a field outside of my degree and major, I find ways to use the creativity inspired by the faculty, and classmates there.  MICA fundamentally is a fine arts school.  They will teach you the skills and discipline to achieve artistically, but the career developement is the weakest point of the program.  In the discussion of 'selling out' and making money- which many counter culturists and artists think is equivalent to selling your soul.  The school chooses not to focus on.  Instead it tries to teach you as much as possible about skill and technique.  It hopes that it students will find a way in their careers.  Having said that, it is the only critique i can make about this great school.  Mica has a lot to offer.
