I'm in my first semester, and so far I'm very happy with the school.  The Student Life Office plans lots of great activities and outings for students, which is a plus.  The housing at the ACB is GREAT - huge apartments.  Downside is no meal plan - you have to buy your own groceries.  People are all very friendly and helpful to eachother.  Some programs are more competitive than others, i.e.  transportation design.  My dept.  (interior design) is very small this year.  I'm only taking one actual interior design course so I can't comment too much on the dept.  itself.  The Foundations department is pretty good so far.  I've learned a lot about drawing and perspective, which are important.  My Color class is very interesting as well.  The workload is not huge for me right now, but it all depends on your department and your teachers and how you manage your time.  The cost of supplies can be difficult at times — but this will be true for all art schools.  I spent about $400 on books and supplies first semester.  Again this changes depending on your dept.  for example fine arts and crafts are very expensive compared to interior design or animation.  But overall I'm very happy here, the area is great and there's lots to do, the students are fun to be with, and I haven't had any major problems with teachers yet.

responseLol cheaper than animation? Got news for you-Software for animators can be about $800 a piece, and all the equipment to back up your work or film things can be in the hundreds as well. Not to mention our "materials fee" whatever the hell that goes to, is $450, the highest of all departments.
