I was surprised by the number of east coast students. Considering the school's food was rated so high, I was a little disappointed- it was good, but not great, but the new primary dining hall is under construction. Students are smart across the board, but for the most part, fairly well rounded. Pre-med track is challenging, but not impossible. Some parts of St. Louis are not so hot, but the area around Wash U. is great. The campus is beautiful, the new dorms outstanding. Not being from the midwest, I was apprehensive about the location and climate. This winter has been chilly, but not miserable. I've learned to dress warm. I understand springs in St. Louis are great. All in all, WUSTL turned out to be a great choice.
