Major: Other (This Major's Salary over time) Being a transfer student from Oklahoma State University, Arizona State Universtiy is by far a better school. Not only are the students socially active, you still find students who take thier education seriously. I think the reason why ASU has such a large number of drop outs is due to such a large student body populous; obviously the greater the population, the more extreme the statistics are going to be. As for the party life, pretty much any university you visit or attend is going to have that so called "college atmosphere." Really, it just depends on how much you participate and are you disciplined enough to show up to class the next day and follow through with your studies. One of the main reasons why I transferred is to be closer to home and friends. I am originally from Orange County, CA, and ASU was the closest school that offered my intended major. On top of that, many of the students that attend ASU are from So.Cal. and share the same social interests as myself. As far as U of A goes, that school and its surroundings reminded me too much of Stillwater, OK. (hometown of O.S.U.) and therefor my justification is somewhat biased and ignorant. If you are high school senior checking out your collegiate opportunities, I would highly recommend ASU for its overall academic and social atmospheres.
