If you are willing to think creatively, stand up, and speak out, Fork U. will do what it does best and screw you over.Do you believe in ethics? Do you believe that a university has responsibilities to uphold academic standards? If your answer is yes, this is not the place for you. |
One gets what one goes after. Going to ASU is like wanting to go swimming, but then you find you're up to your eyeballs in sh*t. Yeah, you've gone swimming, but it wasn't at the club pool, and afterwards the smell lingers. |
After just a few weeks here, I regretted ever coming here! I found that this school takes anyone who can come up with the money or financial aid. So what that means is that this school is only a shitty diploma mill. |
Sounds like someone is trying to defend ASU's near-total abdication of responsibility. Real universities have faculty who teach, not faculty who make it up as they go along (a big problem here) or leave teaching to international grad students. Real universities try to provide real academic counseling, not automated course pushing. Real universities try to provide value for tuition dollars, but ASU is always looking for both explicit and secret ways to squeeze its students for what ASU can get. |

Thank You very much for your review, I was wondering why such a big University would have so many negative reviews, and after reading you review I realized that most people just want everything done for them. We are not taught at school to do things for ourselves, but rather expect them to be done for us. |
Major: Social Work (This Major's Salary over time)
In many ways, the successful ASU experience is a reflection of an individual?s confidence, efforts, and assertiveness. One gets what one goes after. It is much like life. If you sit back and want everything spoon fed to you then this is not the right university for you and maybe a trade or vocational school is something you should consider. If your spirit is not entrepreneurial and you want to go work every day and be told exactly what to do, then ASU is not the right university for you. However, if you are willing to think creatively, standup, and speak out, then this might be the right place for you. To be successful one needs to learn to be a responsible adult and take ownership of each situation that is presented both on and off campus. Excuses don?t work in life and they don?t work at a major university. For me, it is a wonderful school in most every way.
