I don't think UOP or ASU are diploma mills.High number of graduates does not equal a diploma mill. |
Definitely not a diploma mill, not sure what your particular major is. I personally like all of the advisors in ECEE department and always get quick and good advice. As far as ECEE we have a lot of GREAT professors that are known worldwide for their achievements. While it may not be crazy hard to get in Fulton, staying in is the problem I am currently a senior and it is typical to see people not be able to finish and transfer to a different college, like W. P Carey. Like I said this is my perspective from the ECEE department can't speak for any other departments. |
That's an insult to the University of Phoenix.I was in ASU's engineering grad school and therefore know from personal experience that the programs were badly run, and that the original review's assessment of 50% deadbeat faculty is roughly accurate. Yes, Fulton has some "stars" (and even some excellent faculty) but the overall quality of faculty is not high. There used to be embarrassing issues involving non-English speaking faculty. This included the wholesale failing of nearly an entire class of one department's graduating engineers by a single faculty member, who at the time could not even communicate class meeting times. The original reviews assessment on weaknesses in advising is also accurate. Also there were problems with faculty breaking university regulations, and programs altering degree requirements. Overall, ASU is definitely not a place to go to advance one's career. |
Major: Engineering Department (This Major's Salary over time)
After four full years of engineering "education" here at ASU with a 3.98 GPA, I can honestly say that ASU is a degree mill. The most developed system at ASU is their billing department. Never skips a beat. Counseling and Advising? Doesn't exist in a productive form as of 2015. They evaluate everyone's prior credit differently even when the students have the same previous credits. Think about that. 30 days to get into a PHONE advising session. At the end of the day advising extends your graduation because they made a mistake. About 50% of the professors are deadbeats in one way or another. There is no educational process control unless it involves money.ASU is becoming UOP.
