I would like to have given this comment with a neutral stance, but i need to send out a message before UNCC ruins more scholastic lives. This school's only challenge was seeing how much you (as a number) could regurgitate. The school is rapidly developing to try to become the largest in the UNC system, only for money and funding, fuck the students it seems. To understand my background, I finished my A.A. right after turning 18 with a 3.8 GPA, and would like to say I've got a lot of ambition when i want, of which UNCC didn't give me any; it was only going to suck my GPA down and ruin my academic career. If you value your education, please take my advice and do not attend, unless your one of the kids who likes to drink the wits out of their head the night before an exam, 'cause you know your already fucking up anyway, so, whatever, pop some pills, and try to get some from some sorority blond chicks'. Seriously, this was the attitude that i perceived by the majority of the student body, the people i could intelligently relate to, Hated this school. The parking was about $325 a semester, and since everyone commutes, it will probably take you 45 minutes to find a spot 45 away from campus. I only went to this school because i originally am from Charlotte and my parents encouraged me to stay at home. I transferred out next semester to a smaller liberal arts college (which offered me a decent merit scholarship; of which UNCC doesn't grant anything for) and i now see how valuable the educational climate is when compared to U-N-shitty. To end my point i will quote one of my teachers who probably got her PhD from who cares because UNCC will take you no matter what; "Are you guys getting this or am i poking a dead horse with a stick?" ughhh!

Of course you got a 3.8 in community college. I took summer classes at a community college, didn't show up for three weeks, and and still got A's in both classes.

Stop your whining about how horrible life is at UNC Charlotte.

On the grand scheme of things, if your GPA was really that low at UNCC and you actually tried, I'd lower my status from "Quite Bright".

Oh and by the way, if UNC Charlotte is such a horrible school, I'm going to have a horrible time explaining to the medical school I was accepted to why I went there.

Also, you're very wrong. Parking is not $325 a semester. It's a one time charge for an entire year compared to other colleges such as NC State where you have to pay around $350 a SEMESTER for parking in a lot that is miles away from campus. So stop making things up and stick to the facts.

Wow I have to agree with the OP, I transferred here because the tuition is cheap but you really get what you pay for, the academic environment and classes here will have you graduating dumber than when you got in. It feels like prof are just babysitting and they grade based on how well you suck up. I hate this school. I'm seriously considering transferring back out of this school, I really made a bad decision coming here.
